Brockman Gets 5 Hits Friday, September 11th , 2048 Isaiah Brockman of the New Orleans Zephyrs went on a hitting spree today against the Sacramento River Cats pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but to no avail -- the River Cats put a damper on his day and prevailed 8-7 over the Zephyrs. "It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later. Isaiah Brockman singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Pat Wiggins in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Takashi Kino in the 9th. On the season, Brockman is batting .266 with 7 home runs and 30 RBIs. He has played in 122 games. |
