Redbirds on to Conference Championship Saturday, October 9th , 2049 Dan Boykins wore out opposing pitchers en route to being named Division Championship MVP. The star's Memphis Redbirds defeated the Syracuse Chiefs by a series score of 4-1 to advance to the Conference Championship. Memphis won the final game by a 5-2 count in front of a raucous crowd at AutoZone Park. Boykins hit .500 with a .533 on-base percentage in the series, while also adding 1 home runs, driving in 5 RBI and scoring 3 runs. "Just trying to do my job, that's all there is too it," said Boykins. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes. |
