League Suspends Pittman and Weirick for Fisticuffs Monday, August 30th , 2049 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Tacoma-Norfolk contest at Cheney Stadium. The Rainiers Josh Pittman and the Tides Nick Weirick will have to sit out 6 and 4 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Pittman is batting .240 this year with 4 home runs, 28 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 388 at-bats. This year Weirick has earned 2 saves, worked 50.2 innings, fanned 48 hitters and recorded a 3.02 ERA. He has also put up a 2-1 won-lost mark. |
