Zambon Shackles Tacoma Sunday, August 8th , 2049 It wasn't easy but Matt Zambon made it look that way. Zambon silenced the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-0, in a Columbus Clippers triumph at Cheney Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Zambon said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Checking out his stats for the season, Zambon has registered 9 wins and 5 losses in 20 starts, 3.10 ERA and struck out 106 batters in 127.2 innings. |
