Yankees Get One-Run Win at Boston
The New York Yankees did just enough to sneak past the Boston Red Sox, 5-4, at Fenway Park. New York pitcher Tim Catalano, in particular, had a standout performance. Catalano picked up the win for New York, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The Yankees have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 8th win in 23 games.

New York used a timely hit from Dan Morris to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Yankees ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Boston manager Rob Diederichs. "The effort was great."
