					| Cubs Take Down Nationals, 4-3 |
					| Chicago picked up a win at Wrigley Field, bumping off the Washington Nationals, 4-3. Pitcher Unkei Wakamatsu was a major reason the Cubs emerged victorious. Wakamatsu, now 2-1, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. The win gives Chicago a record of 8-8.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Chicago shortstop Tze-meng Gan, facing David Sly, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cubs the 4-3 win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Gan. "And not try to do too much."
