					| Athletics Lose By a Run at California, 6-5 |
					| The California Angels did just enough to sneak past the Oakland Athletics, 6-5, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. California right fielder Rusty Ney, in particular, had a standout performance. Bryan Banana earned save number 1 this season. The loss puts Oakland at 7-8.
With one out in the bottom of the fifth, Mark Reeg barreled up a fastball from Elijah Daniels. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Angels in front, 6-5.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Reeg. "But I have better dreams after a win."
