The 7-5 Chicago win over Detroit was due largely to Chris Cooper. The White Sox left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. Jacob Taylor got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The White Sox, now 6-1, have stormed out of the gates.

Cooper had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch cutter from Ruben Arana, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the White Sox a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Cooper.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Cooper.
