					| Nationals Lose By a Run at San Diego, 4-3 |  
					| The Washington Nationals and San Diego Padres provided some drama for the home crowd. 
 San Diego picked up a win at Petco Park, toppling the Washington Nationals, 4-3. Pitcher Adam Thompson was one of the reasons the Padres triumphed. The winning pitcher was Thompson, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. Arturo Diaz picked up the save, his 2nd.
 
 Hildo Pot, who finished 4th in the NL in runs with 108 last year, chipped in for  San Diego with a 2-run  home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
 
 "We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Pot told the San Diego Bulletin.
 
 The loss drops Washington to 3-4.
