Birmingham Shut Out by Villanueva
Gil Villanueva was dynamite at Regions Field today, blowing away the Birmingham Barons in a shutout victory. The Midland RockHounds starter had everything working as he held the Barons to 5 hits in the 4-0 win.

"He was pure nasty out there today," said Birmingham skipper Lewis Brinson. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."

Villanueva finished the game with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks.
