					| The first-place Atlanta Braves picked up another win. 
 The Washington Nationals wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Kerry Baty, falling 1-0 to the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field. Gil Longoria, now 3-5, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings.
 
 Atlanta won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With one out and Seth Bowersox on the mound for Washington, shortstop Yasuhide Kasahara hit a dramatic solo  home run, bringing Braves fans to their feet.
 
 "I like the grit of this ballclub," Kasahara said.
 
 The first-place Braves, at 105-57, now lead their division by 28½ games.
