The Minnesota Twins grabbed a win, 12-2, over the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Minnesota shortstop Alex Rodriguez Jr. went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. In the top of the first, Miguel Gonzalez ambushed a 2-2 screwball from Jimmy Silveira IV and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Minnesota a quick 2-0 lead.
