					| Red Sox Fall, 7-5, to Maxwell, Angels |
					| The California Angels defeated the Boston Red Sox, 7-5. Doing his part was catcher Avery Maxwell, who went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. George Poirier recorded his 30th save for California. California has now won 3 in a row.
Maxwell had a timely hit for California in the top of the ninth. With Boston trailing 5-3, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season, making it 7-5, California.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said California manager Dakota Wise.
