Kansas City second baseman Mike Jaquez had a 6-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Houston Astros, 9-6. Kansas City pitcher Jimmy Silveira IV got the win, upping his record to 14-12. Lance Crumpton got the loss. The Astros, now 66-90, have lost 8 in a row.

Kansas City took a 9-6 lead on Jaquez's 48th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Scott Spillman in the top of the eighth, propelled Kansas City to the win.
