					| Cardinals Win at Pittsburgh, 7-2 |
					| The St. Louis Cardinals racked up a win at PNC Park, bumping off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-2. Antonio Lacayo, who started for St. Louis, pitched effectively for his team. Lacayo, now 17-11, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Cardinals now own a record of 70-85.
St. Louis used the clutch hitting of Micah Christopher to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Cardinals the lead, 3-1. For the game, Christopher had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Lacayo told the St. Louis Observer.
