					| Rangers Take Down Athletics, 5-2 |
					| Getting offensive support from John Giesbrecht, the Texas Rangers topped the Oakland Athletics, 5-2. Giesbrecht went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Rangers. The Rangers improved to 71-82.
Texas used a timely hit from Hans Mikkelsen to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rangers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Mikkelsen, "and then get after it again."
