					| Angels Squelch Dodgers Offense in Shutout Win |
					| In a low-scoring affair between the California Angels and the Los Angeles Dodgers, pitcher Jonathan Jackson was the difference between victory and defeat. The California right-hander earned accolades in the 3-0 Angels win. George Poirier picked up the save for California, his 25th of the year. California, at 82-67, is 6 games up in the American League West Division.
The Angels got an important contribution from designated hitter Mark Reeg, who in the bottom of the third hit a 1-1 cutter into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 45th home run of the season and put the Angels ahead, 3-0.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Reeg.
