					| Yankees Nip Tigers, 5-4 |
					| New York shortstop Bartholomeu Chambino helped his team beat the Detroit Tigers, 5-4. Chambino, who led the AL in wins above replacement with 8.5 in 2043, went 1 for 3 for the Yankees. The winner was Isaias Chavez in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Caleb Franklin took the loss. At 62-83, the Yankees claim 4th place in the American League East Division.
Russ Shambaugh was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Yankees right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Detroit manager Jeff Martin. "But we decided not to take it."
