					| The Cincinnati Reds topped the Cleveland Guardians by a score of 2-0. Leading the way was pitcher Joseph Kirchmann. Kirchmann threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the Reds. Kirchmann went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-0.  The second-place Reds have won 8 consecutive games. 
 Jun Tsuda, the ten-time Great Glove Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Tsuda contributed a solo  home run in the top of the first inning to put Cincinnati up, 1-0.
