					| Houston pitcher Jimmy Edlin did his part in helping his team beat the Oakland Athletics, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Brian Thomas, credited with the save, is now 12 for 13 in save opportunities. The 4th-place Astros have won 4 in a row. 
 The Astros got a big at-bat from first baseman Jack Christie. For the game, Christie went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run  home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Houston a 4-2 lead.
 
 "We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Christie.
