					| The Detroit Tigers weathered an outstanding game by Chicago center fielder Randy Rosenberry to topple the White Sox, 7-6. Rosenberry was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.   Roberto Benavides, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. Detroit is in third place in the American League Central Division with a record of 63-76. 
 Ross Holland  aided the Detroit cause with a run-scoring  single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a walk.
 
 When asked about his performance, Holland said, "It probably won't silence the critics."
