Earning his 32nd save of the year was David Sly.

Tommy Baird chipped in for Washington, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
