					| The California Angels defeated the Seattle Mariners, 8-2. Doing his part was designated hitter Mark Reeg, who was 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Harambe Vick got the win, improving to 16-4. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. Picking up the save was Steve Cooper, his 2nd. 
 Reeg had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth to put California in front, 2-0. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
 
 "We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Aaron Schiff.
 
 California improves to 76-60 with the win. They lead their division by 5½ games.
