					| Tigers Clip Royals, 5-4 |
					| The 5-4 Detroit win over Kansas City was due in large part to Adam Weber. The Tigers third baseman was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Luis Brown recorded the save, his 26th. Detroit bumps their record to 59-72 with the win.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from first baseman Chris Wheatley. For the game, Wheatley went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Detroit a 3-0 lead.

"The team always comes first, so pulling out the win on a day like today is the most important thing," Weber told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
