					| 11-4 Loss Deepens Seattle Funk |
					| The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Seattle Mariners, 11-4, at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers got a fine performance from shortstop Clay Buchanan, who went 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Justin Scheithauer. He tossed 92 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. Seattle, at 49-79, has lost 10 straight.
The Dodgers got an important contribution from first baseman Chris Buchan, who in the bottom of the first knocked a full count forkball into center for a 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 3-0.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Aaron Schiff. "But it's got to translate into wins."
