 The Chicago White Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins, 6-3, in American League action at Target Field. Chicago pitcher Stacy Hootentootin had a standout performance. Chicago leads the American League Central Division by 11½ games.
 
 Steve Castleberry, the 12-year veteran , had a direct impact on the outcome. Castleberry contributed a 2-run  double in the top of the first inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.
 
 "Stacy -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said White Sox manager Jake Turnbull. "He was the key to us winning."
