					| Washington Nationals starter Jon Glenn was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the New York Mets, 5-3. In 6.1 innings, Glenn surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 4 and  walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. David Sly got the save, his 21st in 29 chances. 
 In the bottom of the third, Dave Vargas hit a 3-run  home run. The 19th home run of the season for the Washington designated hitter put the Nationals on top, 3-2.
 
 "We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Vargas said after the game.
 
 The victory puts Washington at 43-62.
