					| Bristol right-hander Tony Contreras made an effective start against the Chicago (APP) Cubs at Baseball City Complex, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Lettel Schroeder picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-7. Jeremy Estep was tagged with the loss. Tony Sacramento converted his 26th save in 29 tries. 
 Sean Magnus came through for the Pirates in the top of the eighth inning. With Bristol leading 4-3, the right fielder had a run-scoring  walk.
 
 "For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Contreras.
