Amarillo ThunderHeads starter Mario Lopez was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Tijuana Toros, 3-1. Amarillo now sits in 4th place in the Western League South Division at 66-69.

Luis Mendoza had a big at-bat in the top of the seventh inning for the ThunderHeads. With his team down, 1-0, the right fielder hit a 2-run home run, to put Amarillo ahead.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Mendoza. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
