					| Mets Sneak Past Marlins, 4-3 |
					| Despite the rain, the fans at Citi Field enjoyed a good ballgame.
The New York Mets beat the Miami Marlins, 4-3, at Citi Field. The win was due in part to left fielder Chris Ringwood, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs. Justin Overlie, now 4-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings.

New York took a 4-3 lead on Drtian Thaqi's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Thaqi hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Miami pitcher Kwang-sik Kim shaking his head.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ringwood said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Mets, at 44-61, have now won 4 straight.
