					| Quinones Slugs Tigers to 6-3 Win |
					| Detroit center fielder Victor Quinones contributed to his team's 6-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles. Quinones, who is tied for 7th in the AL in extra base hits with 43, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Tigers. Adrian Hamilton was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. The third-place Tigers have a record of 42-53.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Conrad Taylor. For the game, Taylor was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 19th double of the season gave Detroit a 3-1 lead.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Taylor told the Detroit Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."
