					| Athletics Lose By a Run at Boston, 4-3 |
					| Boston picked up a win at Fenway Park, toppling the Oakland Athletics, 4-3. Pitcher Reece Nichols was one of the reasons the Red Sox triumphed. The first-place Red Sox have won 4 consecutive games.
Had Alois Wollf not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Wollf hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Red Sox.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Wollf. "And not try to do too much."
