					| White Sox Need Extra Frames to Get Past Twins |
					| The Chicago White Sox took Minnesota pitcher Bud Puffer's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Target Field. The final score had Chicago getting past the Twins, 8-2. Puffer went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 10. The win belongs to Riso Profanter in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Tony Ramirez took the loss for Minnesota. The first-place White Sox, at 65-29, now lead their division by 9½ games.
Runs were scarce in this one. So, Dietmar Warmisch's at-bat in the top of the 12th was vitally important. With one out, the Chicago first baseman grounded out, driving in 1 run, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Warmisch told the Chicago Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
