					| Royals Win 5-4 Walk-Off |
					| New York got a terrific game from second baseman Jeckel Hester. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Kansas City, 5-4. Hester was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kansas City pitcher Joe Jordahl got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Joel Pacheco got the loss. With the victory, the Royals record now stands at 55-39.
The Royals relied on right fielder Roman Downey for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Mike Miller.
