					| Mets Down Yankees, 7-3 |
					| The New York Mets topped the New York Yankees, 7-3, in National League action at Citi Field. The standout performance belonged to New York pitcher and Lebanon, Pennsylvania, native Billy McIntyre. McIntyre went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 8-6. The victory puts New York at 33-55.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Ken Dewey didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and New York trailing 5-3, Dewey retired Gus Berry to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Dewey, with a wink.
