					| Nationals Deal Orioles 4-1 Loss |
					| The Washington Nationals got a strong performance from pitcher Travis Plesz, who stymied the Baltimore offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. David Sly was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 23 save opportunities. At 37-47, Washington is in third place in the National League East Division.
Washington used a well-timed hit by Tommy Baird to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Nationals ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Baird.
