					| Phillies Win 2-1 Walk-Off |
					| The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 2-1. Philadelphia pitcher and Seneca Falls, New York, native Brian Thomas led the way. Reliever Josh Cornishen picked up the win. His record improves to 5-3. Felix Bernal took the loss. The loss makes Pittsburgh 48-33.
Mike Davis was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Phillies right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Phillies manager Paul Husch, "I like our chances."
