					| White Sox Lose By a Run at St. Louis, 4-3 |  
					| St. Louis pitcher Antonio Lacayo did his part in helping his team beat the Chicago White Sox, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The second-place Cardinals raised their record to 42-38. 
 In the bottom of the first, St. Louis right fielder Danny Gallo had a productive at-bat. With  runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Gallo stroked a run-scoring  single to center. It made the score 4-0, St. Louis. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles.
 
 Gallo called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
