					| Red Sox Deal Nationals 4-3 Loss |
					| The Boston Red Sox did just enough to secure a victory over the Washington Nationals, 4-3, at Nationals Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Justin Whitesack. Whitesack picked up the win for Boston, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 8-2. John Jordan notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Boston used a timely hit from Greg Shaw to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Washington manager Mike Shore. "The effort was great."

With the victory, the Red Sox upped their record to 55-24.
