					| Angels Get Past Chicago for 2-1 Win |  
					| The Chicago White Sox wasted an impressive 6-inning effort from starter Adam Ratcliff, falling 2-1 to the California Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The win belongs to Bryan Banana in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Ryan Columbo took the loss for Chicago. George Poirier got credit for the save for California. It was his 9th of the year. 
 Bjoern Waltersson, the California center fielder, contributed a run-scoring  single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 1-0, Angels. For the game, Waltersson was 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
 
 Waltersson said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
 
 At 46-32, the Angels claim first place in the American League West Division.
