					| Nationals Best Expos in Pitching Duel |
					| In a low-scoring tilt between the Washington Nationals and the Montreal Expos, Travis Plesz was the difference-maker. The Washington right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Plesz, now 4-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing no runs. David Sly sewed up the save, his 12th.
John Sanders, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Sanders contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Washington up, 1-0.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Montreal skipper Robb Dixon, "and it cost us."

With this game in the books, Washington is 33-41, Montreal 44-29.
