					| Giants Clip Mets, 2-1 |
					| The San Francisco Giants beat the New York Mets, 2-1, at Citi Field. Starting pitcher Chong-yeol Wong was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Wong, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Caleb Mullinax nailed down his 19th save.
San Francisco relied on the bat of Jack Henningar to get the win. The first baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Giants ahead, 2-1. For the game, Henningar had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"It was a good effort all around," said Wong.

With the win, San Francisco raised its record to 36-30.
