Castleberry reaches base 4 times in Reds Win
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Reds beat the Pirates.

Behind the hitting of Steve Castleberry, the Cincinnati Reds stopped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 11-4. Castleberry was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Reds. At 25-32, Cincinnati is in 4th place in the National League Central Division.

Castleberry contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Cincinnati in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-1, Castleberry took a screwball from Stan Stirnweiss and stroked the home run to left-center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Reds to leap in front, 4-3.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Cincinnati manager Jimmy Silveira II.
