Scott Is Pitcher Perfect
|
In front of thousands of fans at Pioneer Park today, Bobby Scott pitched what will surely be the best game of his career, likely the best of the 2049 Appalachian League season, and perhaps the best game for years to come. Scott was flawless for the Texas (APP) Rangers, throwing a perfect game against the Greeneville Astros.
"I knew when I took the mound today that I felt good," Scott said to reporters after the game. "I had no idea that I felt that good."
Scott struck out 19, allowed no hits, surrendered no walks and allowed no baserunners of any kind en route to the 11-0 Rangers victory. He retired 27 batters in a row.
On the season Scott has a 16-2 record with a 2.17 ERA.
