					| Royals Win, 4-1, at Chicago |
					| Kansas City starter John Hall put a stranglehold on the Chicago offense. The left-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Royals to a 4-1 win. The win gives Kansas City a season record of 28-25.
Kansas City used the clutch hitting of Mike Meyerhoff to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Royals ahead, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Meyerhoff said.
