					| Athletics Rally to Eke Out Win |
					| Randy Shrewsbury left his imprint on the 3-2 Oakland win against the California Angels. Shrewsbury, who finished 4th in the AL in home runs with 39 in 2047, was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs. The winner in relief was Charlie Shook. He is now 3-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. This win makes it 5 in a row for Oakland.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Muneo Kawachi came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing California pitcher Bryan Banana, he hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Oakland on top, 3-2.

In postgame remarks, Shrewsbury simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
