					| Orioles Win at California, 5-2 |
					| Baltimore and California duked it out and the Orioles came out victorious.
The Baltimore Orioles topped the California Angels, 5-2, in American League action at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The standout performance belonged to Baltimore pitcher and Grove City, Ohio, native Pete Rance. Chris Dauphin collected save number 6.

Baltimore used the bat of Vince Jackson to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Orioles ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Jackson told the Baltimore Observer. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."

With the win, Baltimore lifts its record to 13-17.
