Americus Advances to Quarter-Finals Wednesday, October 21st , 2048 The Americus Braves have beaten the Amarillo ThunderHeads in the Round 1, despite a strong performance from ThunderHeads catcher Alex Rivera. Rivera was given MVP honors for his performance even though his team came out on the losing end of the series. "It's a good news, bad news thing I guess," he said. "Unfortunately the bad news is really bad -- our season is over." Americus won the final game by a score of 4-1 at Ballpark of Amarillo and took the series 4-2. The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
