Topete Pounds 3 HR Tuesday, September 29th , 2048 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Palm Beach Ballpark buzzing, Amarillo ThunderHeads center fielder Robert Topete blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 5-4 win over the Palm Beach Nationals. "Everything was clicking," Topete told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Topete shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," ThunderHeads manager John Zumbo said. "Robert played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Robert Topete hit a solo-shot off Danny Juarez in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Danny Juarez in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Kareem Linz in the 9th. Posting a .384 batting average to date, Topete has 65 home runs and 147 RBIs. |
