Injury Brings Season to End for Ortiz Monday, August 31st , 2048 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Palm Beach's Jose Ortiz to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 08/30/2048 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Ortiz said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Ortiz has been out of action since he suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. For the year Ortiz has collected no saves in 6 relief appearances. He has also notched 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in 8 innings while registering a 2.25 ERA and a 0-1 won-lost record. |
